AMSOIL Passenger Car & Light Truck Antifreeze & Coolant

AMSOIL Passenger Car & Light Truck Antifreeze & Coolant (ANTPC) is an ethylene-glycol coolant pre-mixed 50/50 with high-purity water and built on a unique poly-organic acid (OAT) inhibitor system for cars, SUVs, and light trucks that need a single coolant fit for a wide range of OEM cooling-system chemistries.

Universal-application OAT chemistry

The poly-organic acid formulation in this coolant carries a multivehicle approval profile, so a single jug can serve a domestic GM truck, an import sedan, or a garage with mixed makes. The chemistry is compatible with all ethylene-glycol and propylene-glycol antifreeze colors and with the plastics and elastomers used in modern radiators, hoses, gaskets, and reservoirs.

Phosphate-, nitrite-, silicate-, borate-, and amine-free

Conventional inhibitor systems lean on phosphate, nitrate, nitrite, silicate, borate, or amine packages. Those additives are responsible for almost all scale formation in cooling systems, and they can drop out of solution if the coolant pH shifts or two incompatible products are mixed during a top-off. ANTPC removes them entirely. The proprietary OAT system delivers metal protection without the precipitate, which keeps water pumps, heater cores, and radiator passages clean over the full drain interval.

Corrosion and erosion protection

Cooling-system metals in passenger cars and light trucks span aluminum cylinder heads, steel block surfaces, copper and brass heater cores, solder joints, and cast-iron components. ANTPC is engineered to protect every one of those metals. Cast-iron and copper plates protected by AMSOIL show virtually no signs of corrosion based on results of the ASTM D2570 corrosion test, and the formula posts near-perfect scores in industry-standard testing on cast aluminum cylinder heads, steel, copper, solder, brass, and cast-iron and aluminum water pumps.

Boil-over and freeze protection

The 50/50 pre-mix delivers boil-over protection up to 265°F (129°C) with a 15 psi radiator cap and freeze protection down to -34°F (-37°C). That window covers stop-and-go heat soak in southwestern summers and overnight cold soaks across the northern tier without seasonal coolant swaps.

Long service life and OEM-spec coverage

ANTPC carries protection for up to 150,000 miles (241,000 km) or 5 years, whichever comes first, in passenger cars and light trucks. The formula is engineered to meet original equipment manufacturer specifications including Chrysler MS 12106, GMW 3420, GM 6277M, JIS K2234, VW TL 774D, Ford WSS-M97B44-D, and ASTM D3306 requirements. Drivers can match a specific year, make, and model with the right coolant in the AMSOIL vehicle lookup guide.

Recommended applications and service intervals

ANTPC is formulated for use in all domestic and import passenger cars and light trucks where the manufacturer calls for an OAT or universal ethylene-glycol coolant meeting one of the listed OEM specifications. The pre-mix arrives ready to pour into a flushed cooling system and should not be diluted further with tap water or distilled water before installation.

Mixing propylene-glycol formulations with this ethylene-glycol coolant can make the resulting freeze point hard to predict, so a complete flush is recommended whenever the two chemistries cross. Supplemental coolant additives are not required and should not be added. Pair the refill with a quality coolant filter where the platform supports one and verify cap pressure (15 psi) at the same service.

  • pre mixed quality anti freeze

No brainer pour it in and ready to go. Already pre mixed quality anti freeze. Just make sure the type you are purchasing is compatible with your vehicle’s cooling system. Amsoil does a good job of helping you figure it all out.

Frequently asked questions

Is this antifreeze universal across coolant colors?

The OAT chemistry in ANTPC is designed for multivehicle service and is compatible with all ethylene-glycol and propylene-glycol antifreeze colors as well as the plastics and elastomers in passenger-car and light-truck cooling systems. Color is a dye choice rather than a chemistry spec, so the right way to confirm fit is the OEM specification list, not the color of what is currently in the radiator.

What is OAT coolant, and how is it different from silicate-based coolant?

OAT stands for organic acid technology. Instead of relying on phosphate, nitrite, silicate, borate, or amine inhibitors that can scale or precipitate, an OAT formula uses organic carboxylic acids to film-protect cooling-system metals. ANTPC is built on a poly-organic acid system that excludes all of those legacy inhibitors and posts strong results in industry-standard corrosion and erosion testing.

Can ANTPC be mixed with the coolant already in the cooling system?

For an emergency top-off, mixing is acceptable because the OAT chemistry is compatible with other ethylene- and propylene-glycol coolants. For a full service, draining and flushing the old coolant before refilling with ANTPC is the cleaner option. Mixing propylene-glycol coolant with this ethylene-glycol formula can make the resulting freeze point difficult to predict, so a flush at the next convenient service is the right move whenever the two chemistries are combined.

Does it need to be diluted with water before use?

No. The pre-mix arrives 50/50 with high-purity water and is ready to pour into a flushed cooling system. Adding water further dilutes the inhibitor package and reduces freeze and boil-over protection.

Which OEM specifications does ANTPC meet?

ANTPC is engineered to meet Chrysler MS 12106, GMW 3420, GM 6277M, JIS K2234, VW TL 774D, Ford WSS-M97B44-D, and ASTM D3306 requirements. Drivers can confirm the spec called out for a specific year, make, and model in the AMSOIL vehicle lookup guide.

How long does ANTPC last between changes?

Service life in passenger cars and light trucks is up to 150,000 miles (241,000 km) or 5 years, whichever comes first. Severe-service operation, including heavy towing, off-road duty, or sustained idling, may warrant a shorter interval per the vehicle owner manual.

Can ANTPC be used in heavy-duty diesel trucks or mixed fleets?

ANTPC is built for passenger cars and light trucks. Heavy-duty diesel applications calling for ASTM D6210, TMC RP329B, or cylinder-liner cavitation testing under ASTM D7583 are better served by AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Antifreeze & Coolant (ANTHD), which carries a hybrid organic acid (HOAT) formulation and a 1,000,000-mile (1,609,344 km) service life in heavy-duty service.
