AMSOIL ATV/UTV Kits for Can-Am Vehicles
The AMSOIL ATV/UTV Kits for Can-Am Vehicles are single-package oil change kits sized for the most popular Can-Am ATVs and UTVs. Three sizes (CK4, CK5, and CK6) cover service capacities from 2.5 to 4 quarts and ship with AMSOIL 5W-40 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil plus a cellulose-media oil filter that meets or exceeds Can-Am OEM standards. The right kit depends on the model, so the lookup result for the specific year and machine determines which code to order.
What is in each kit
Each kit contains the AMSOIL 5W-40 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil and the matching oil filter for the listed Can-Am application. The three sizes are:
- CK4: 2.5 quarts of AMSOIL 5W-40 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil and one Can-Am-compatible oil filter. Sized for Maverick X3 and current Maverick Turbo platforms.
- CK5: 3.5 quarts of AMSOIL 5W-40 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil and one Can-Am-compatible oil filter. Sized for the Outlander and Renegade single-cylinder and V-twin ATV applications.
- CK6: 4 quarts of AMSOIL 5W-40 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil and one Can-Am-compatible oil filter. Sized for higher-capacity UTV applications.
About AMSOIL 5W-40 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil
The AMSOIL 5W-40 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil that ships in these kits is a heavy-duty synthetic engineered for the high temperatures, full-throttle bursts, and trail-load duty cycles common to Can-Am ATV and UTV use. The 5W-40 grade gives quick cold-start oil flow on early-morning rides and holds film strength when the engine is loaded on hill climbs, sand dunes, or sustained dune-buggy and mud-bog operation. The synthetic base is shear stable so the in-grade viscosity holds across the service interval, including on shared engine and transmission sumps where gear loads thin conventional oils.
Cellulose oil filter built to Can-Am specifications
Each kit includes a single oil filter built with cellulose media that meets or exceeds the OEM filter specification for the listed Can-Am application. The filter ships with the rest of the service parts so the rider does not need to source it separately or guess at OEM cross-references. The same filter is available for individual replacement service between kit-based oil changes.
Which kit fits which Can-Am model
The matching kit depends on the model family and year. Confirm the right kit through the AMSOIL Vehicle Lookup Guide and the ATV oil guide before ordering.
- CK4: Maverick X3, Maverick X3 R, Maverick X3 RR, Maverick X3 Turbo, Maverick X3 Turbo R, Maverick X3 Turbo RR (2017 and newer), and current Maverick Turbo, Turbo R, and Turbo RR side-by-side platforms.
- CK5: Outlander 500 (2007-2015), Outlander 570 (2016 and newer), Outlander 650 (2005 and newer), Outlander 800 (2006 and newer), Outlander 800R (2009-2015), Outlander 850 (2016 and newer), Outlander 1000 (2012 and newer), Outlander 1000R (2016 and newer), Renegade 500 (2008-2015), Renegade 570 (2016 and newer), Renegade 800 (2007-2008), Renegade 800R (2009-2015), Renegade 850 (2016 and newer), and Renegade 1000 (2012 and newer).
- CK6: higher-capacity Can-Am applications confirmed by the AMSOIL Vehicle Lookup result for the specific machine.
Service recommendations
Change the engine oil and filter together at the interval Can-Am specifies for the model and the operating conditions. Severe-service riding (deep mud, hot ambient temperatures, sustained high-rpm work, or heavy hauling) typically calls for a shorter interval than the published baseline. Carrying a spare quart of the same 5W-40 ATV/UTV oil for top-offs between services is good practice on long trail rides and weekend trips, especially in summer heat. The same AMSOIL 5W-40 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil is sold separately for refills and for top-offs of related Can-Am systems where the lubricant calls for a 5W-40 powersport-grade oil.
Order the AMSOIL ATV/UTV Kit for Can-Am
The Can-Am ATV/UTV kits are sold under the master code CKATVUTV with individual codes CK4, CK5, and CK6. AMSOIL motorcycle and powersports products are backed by the AMSOIL Limited Liability Warranty. Confirm the right kit for the machine through the AMSOIL Vehicle Lookup Guide and the ATV oil guide, review the matching filter program in the oil filter guide, then order the AMSOIL ATV/UTV Kit for Can-Am Vehicles.

Wix filter
Very nice to have gaskets and an O-ring. I am done with Wix filters; they fall apart too easily. I will order from Can-am.

Frequently asked questions
How is the right Can-Am kit chosen?
The right kit depends on the engine and the service capacity. CK4 is sized for the 2.5-quart Maverick X3 and Maverick Turbo platforms. CK5 covers the 3.5-quart Outlander and Renegade ATV applications. CK6 is sized for the 4-quart higher-capacity UTV applications. The AMSOIL Vehicle Lookup Guide shows the exact kit for the specific year and model.
Will an AMSOIL kit void the Can-Am factory warranty?
No. Using AMSOIL synthetic powersports lubricants and AMSOIL filters does not void the Can-Am factory warranty. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act prevents an OEM from voiding the warranty solely for using a non-OE part as long as it meets the OE specification. The included oil filter is built to meet or exceed Can-Am OEM filter standards, and the AMSOIL 5W-40 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil meets the relevant performance specifications for these engines.
Can the same kit be used on a Polaris or Honda ATV?
No. The Can-Am kits ship with a Can-Am-compatible filter and a 5W-40 oil grade chosen for Can-Am applications. Polaris ATVs and UTVs use a different AMSOIL kit (PKATVUTV) with a Polaris-compatible filter and 5W-50 oil grade. Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Suzuki applications use individual AMSOIL ATV/UTV oil and filter products selected through the Vehicle Lookup Guide.
How often should the kit be used?
Replace engine oil and filter at the Can-Am-recommended interval for the specific model and operating conditions. Severe service (sustained mud, high heat, racing, or heavy load) generally calls for shorter intervals than highway-equivalent baseline.
What about transmission and final drive lubricants?
The Can-Am ATV/UTV kit covers the engine oil and filter only. Transmission, differential, and final-drive services use separate AMSOIL ATV/UTV transmission and gear lubricants. The ATV oil guide and the Vehicle Lookup Guide show the recommended fluids for each Can-Am driveline application.
Are extra quarts of oil included for top-offs?
The kit includes the listed quarts for the service drain and refill (2.5 for CK4, 3.5 for CK5, 4 for CK6). For top-offs between services, AMSOIL 5W-40 Synthetic ATV/UTV Motor Oil is sold separately in quart and gallon packages.
