Shear-stable SAE 10W-60 viscosity for high-output engines
Engines specified for SAE 10W-60 typically run elevated bearing loads and sustained oil temperatures that demand a thicker hot operating viscosity than a 30 or 40 grade can provide. The 10W-60 formula uses shear-stable synthetic base oils paired with high-quality anti-wear additives so the oil holds its SAE 60 hot viscosity grade under load. AMSOIL 10W-60 FS European Motor Oil is compatible with other synthetic and conventional motor oils. Mixing with other oils will shorten the oil's life expectancy and reduce its performance benefits, so extended drain intervals are not supported where oils have been mixed. Aftermarket oil additives are not recommended for use with AMSOIL synthetic motor oils.
