AMSOIL OE 0W-20 100% Synthetic Motor Oil is a 100 percent synthetic gasoline engine oil engineered for late-model passenger cars, light trucks, SUVs, and gasoline-electric hybrids that specify an SAE 0W-20 grade. The formulation meets API SQ (Resource Conserving), API SP, and API SN Plus service categories and is built to deliver advanced wear, deposit, and turbocharger protection across the full drain interval recommended by the vehicle manufacturer or indicated by an oil life monitoring system. Wear protection that exceeds the dexos1 Gen 2 requirement
OE 0W-20 forms a durable fluid film that keeps pistons, cams, lifters, and bearings separated from each other under high load and high temperature. The Peugeot TU3M Wear Test (CEC L-38-A-94), one of the wear protocols required to meet the GM dexos1 Gen 2 specification, runs a four-cylinder engine for 100 hours under wear-inducing conditions, then measures cam lobe wear.
