AMSOIL OE Multi-Vehicle 100% Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid is a fully synthetic, broad-coverage ATF built for passenger-car and light-truck automatic transmissions that require legacy and current multi-vehicle service fills, including Dexron III, Mercon V, Toyota Type T-IV, Chrysler ATF+4, Honda/Acura ATF-Z1, and dozens of European and Asian OEM specifications. The OE-tier formulation is engineered to follow vehicle-manufacturer-recommended drain intervals while delivering wear protection, varnish resistance, and cold-weather fluidity in everyday service.
Wear protection for valve bodies, clutches, and gears
Modern automatics pack more gears and clutch packs into tight cases, which raises shear stress and concentrates load on the valve body, planetary sets, and clutch plates. OE Multi-Vehicle Synthetic ATF carries an anti-wear additive system that protects these high-load surfaces in normal and severe service, helping keep clutch plates clean and shift surfaces durable across the length of an OEM service interval.
Thermal stability and varnish control
Heat is the primary destroyer of automatic transmission fluid. The thermally stable synthetic base oils in OE Multi-Vehicle Synthetic ATF resist oxidation and the formation of varnish that can stick valves and slow shifts. Service intervals follow the vehicle manufacturer's recommended drain schedule for normal and severe service, including towing, hauling, plowing, fleet duty, and dusty environments.
This fluid is warranted for Chrysler ATF+4 applications above -38 F. The product does not meet the cold-temperature requirement of ATF+4 at -40 F, so a true ATF+4 service fill is required for sustained ambient temperatures at or below -40 F.
Not for use in continuously variable transmissions (CVT) or in Ford Type F applications.
Applications requiring GM DEXRON VI, Ford MERCON LV or MERCON SP, Toyota WS, Honda/Acura DW-1, or Hyundai/Kia SP-IV should use AMSOIL OE Fuel-Efficient Synthetic ATF or AMSOIL Signature Series Multi-Vehicle Synthetic ATF in place of OE Multi-Vehicle.
Confirm the right service fill for the transmission with the AMSOIL Vehicle Lookup Guide, and review how OE-tier fluid compares to extended-drain Signature Series in the AMSOIL ATF Guide. OE Multi-Vehicle Synthetic ATF is compatible with conventional and synthetic ATFs that meet the same specifications, but mixing dilutes the additive system and reduces performance benefits. So far, so good!
Bought this based on all the great recommendations and after confirming it would be compatible with what my 2017 Pacifica Touring L had already been running. Did a drain and fill of about 3.5 qts and have had no issues. After about 1k miles the shifting has smoothed out and there has been no compatibility issues so far. The transmission seems to be running a little cooler even. I plan to do another drain and fill in another 10k miles so I'll have mostly newer fluid going forward. Very happy and will be using again!
