The AMSOIL Heavy-Duty Oil Filter is the EaHD-coded extended-life spin-on filter for heavy-duty on-road and off-road diesel and gasoline engines, available as EAHD2160, EAHD3000, EAHD3191, EAHD4005, and EAHD9000. It is engineered with full-synthetic media, an HNBR sealing gasket, a heavy-duty fully tucked double-seam baseplate, a molded element seal, roll-formed threads, and a long-life silicone anti-drain valve, and it is rated for service intervals that line up with AMSOIL synthetic engine oil drain intervals up to one year.
The Heavy-Duty Oil Filter is sized for over-the-road trucks, dump trucks, refuse haulers, school buses, farm tractors, and mining, construction, and industrial equipment. Service intervals are designed to coincide with the maximum drain interval of the AMSOIL synthetic engine oil it is paired with, not to exceed one year, which reduces the number of filter changes per year and the downtime that comes with them. The Heavy-Duty Oil Filter is rated at 99 percent efficient at 20 microns based on industry-standard ISO 4548-12 testing, putting it among the higher-efficiency options for heavy-duty diesel service. Higher efficiency at the 20-micron point reduces the rate of bearing, ring, liner, and turbocharger wear that is driven by particles in the 10 to 30 micron range, particularly in long-haul and high-load duty cycles.
The synthetic media used in the EaHD line has lower flow restriction than typical cellulose media of comparable efficiency. A premium silicone anti-drain valve keeps oil in the filter at shutdown so the engine sees pressurized oil quickly at startup.
